Exposure Risk Assessment and Management (ERAM)

I wanted to point all of you to a good article written by Donna Heidel and Susan Ripple in this month’s Synergist (April).  The article provides a good introduction into ERAM, the benefits and how they see the future of IH moving toward this strucutre for Industrial Hygiene.

Whether you agree with their point or not, it is a good summary article of ERAM.  The AIHce in Indianapolis will also have PDCs and sessions on this topic.

Upon completion of this online learning module, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe appropriate uses of social media within an OHN practice.
  • Discuss challenges that are presented when social media is used in healthcare environments.

OSHA Revises Hazard Communication Standard

To better protect workers from hazardous chemicals, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has revised its Hazard Communication Standard, aligning it with the United Nations’ global chemical labeling system.
